Thru The Ozone Breaking News Beef Recall
|
Once again, this story originally broke last week but since it is a 3-day weekend, the news was held back and reported on Sunday, February 17, 2008. The news reports that the largest recall in American history involves 143 million pounds of beef. Much of this beef has already been consumed by children and others in food programs. The USDA says they are taking every precaution to eliminate BSE (Mad-Cow Disease) from entering the food chain however the recall was instituted because the slaughter house alledgedly allowed "downer" cows to be processed. The incubation period for mad-cow disease is four years. Submitted for your review as we go...thru the Ozone! Keywords: Beef, BSE, Cow, Disease, Mad, News, Ozone, Recall, Thru, USDA |
