Jeff Healey Tribute
|
As im sure most if not all of you are aware jeff healey sadley past away earlier this week at the age of 41, healey battled cancer since he was just one year old. the man is one of my biggest hero's, despite being blind managed to achieve so much. playing his guitar on his lap fretting it from the top he could do so many things much more efficiently than your average guitarist. he had an absolutely killer vibrato, just the sound of it gives him away in a second. all this power and emotion was a lot to do with me taking up guitar. i remember i got the compilation album 'while my guitar gently weeps' when i was 16 and his playing on that Beatles cover really blew my mind. He certainly wont be forgotten. so heres a bit of blues in tribute of a truely amazing man. just incase you want to know im running my les paul standard (with brand new bare knuckle nailbomb pickups fitted just today!) into my boss 12 track where i recorded the other tracks. i used a marshaly sound built into the 12 track itself Keywords: 12, bare, blues, boss, coulson, guitar, healy, jeff, knuckle, les, nailbomb, paul, pickups, rock, sammy, solo, track |
