Blige, Nelly, Usher and Lil Wayne who all attended the BET Awards Nomination Day ceremony in New York on May 15, 2007. BET announced that Quincy Jones, Al Green to be honored at BET Awards next month

(BlackPressMagazine.com) - Most of Hollywood's celebreality stars hoped for 15 but only got about five minutes of fame. But one reality TV starlet is close to getting a permanent extension.

Shay "Buckeey" Johnson, the sassy music video dancer turned entrepreneur who first appeared on reality TV on Flavor of Love 2 but won the hearts of Amercian viewers on Charm School, is determined to make it big.

Take for instance her VIP status at Prime, New York's ultra hip nightclub that was home to the official BET Awards Nomination Day After Party. Prime is so exclusive that a bottle of champagne can cost between $2,000 - $8,000 per bottle and nothing on the drink menu was less than $250.00.

Buckeey rubbed elbows - literally - with the likes of Super Bowl Champion Geoff Pope, rapper/radio personality Ed Lover, hip hop star Talib Kweli and others. Sporting a white vest with matching pants, Buckeey was living her life as if it were as gold as her hair.

Buckeey and other stars were on hand for the historic nomination ceremony for the 2008 BET Awards that kicks off next month. For the first time ever, the announcement was made in New York City on the set of 106 and Park and not Los Angeles or BET's headquarters.

Black Press Magazine's DC Livers was on hand for the entire ceremony that included making the press part of the LIVE taping and interviewed Nelly, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Lil Wayne and his father Baby, among others.

Al Green will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Quincy Jones will receive the Humanitarian Award.
