"Baby Jump" is a popular song by Mungo Jerry.Written by the group's lead vocalist and guitarist Ray Dorset and produced by Barry Murray, it was the band's second UK No. 1 single,reaching the top for two weeks in March 3rd 1971.The song originally entered at #32 and dropped out of the chart due to lack of sales data because of a national postal strike, but re-entered two weeks later at #14.

T.Rex (originally known as Tyrannosaurus Rex, also occasionally spelt T Rex or T-Rex), were an English rock band fronted by Marc Bolan. The band founded in 1960s London and found success as a 1970s glam rock group."Hot Love" It was the group's first UK number one, staying at the top for six weeks from March 16th 1971, it fared less well in the USA where it peaked at #72. It was also the first T. Rex single to feature both a bass guitar and drums. Its success was propelled by a legendary Top of the Pops appearance, where mainman Marc Bolan appeared in androgynous clothes and covered in glitter, thus inventing the style that came to be known as glam rock.

Dave and Ansell Collins are a Jamaican vocal / instrumental duo (sometimes billed as Dave and Ansil Collins or Dave and Ansel Collins)."Double Barrel" The single reached #1 on the UK singles chart for two weeks in April 27th 1971 and became the first reggae single to reach the top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at #22.

"Get It On" (retitled "Bang a Gong" in the U.S.) was the second UK number one song for the British rock group T. Rex. It was released from their best-known album, Electric Warrior.While it only spent four weeks at the top in the UK, starting July 24, 1971 , it was the group's biggest hit overall,
selling nearly a million copies in the UK. It peaked on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 at number ten in January 1972, becoming the band's only major U.S. hit.

Diana Ross (born Diane Ernestine Earle Ross on March 26, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress, "I'm Still Waiting" it was a mild success in the US, reaching #63 on the billboard Hot 100 singles chart. In the UK singles chart, it reached #1 for four weeks on 17 August 1971,
prompting a retitle of the album Surrender in the UK to the title of I'm Still Waiting.

The Tams, sometimes billed as "The Joe Pope Tams" are an American vocal group from Atlanta, Georgia, who enjoyed their greatest chart success in the 1960s, and the 1970s."Hey Girl Don't Bother Me" Written by Ray Whitley, it was originally released in 1964 and became a minor hit on the Billboard
Hot 100 reaching #41. It would have then lapsed into obscurity but became a favourite on the Northern Soul scene in the UK, and belatedly reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart for three weeks on 14 September 1971.

Rod Stewart CBE (born January 10, 1945), is a singer and songwriter born and raised in London,England, with Scottish parentage."Maggie May" is a song written by singer Rod Stewart and Martin Quittenton and recorded by Stewart in 1971 for his album Every Picture Tells A Story.In October
1971, the song went to number one in the UK on 5 October 1971 for 5 weeks, and simultaneously topped the charts in the United States.

Slade are an English glam rock and hard rock band. Slade were one of the most recognisable acts of the glam rock movement and were, at their peak, the most commercially popular band in the UK."Coz I Luv You "Typical of Slade's brash, stomping glam style, it prominently featured Jim Lea's electric violin and quickly reached #1 on the UK singles chart, where it stayed for four weeks on 9 November
1971.
