Casa de la Musica Mexicana, SC Escuela de la Musica Mexicana was founded March 1990. Met Mtro. Jose Luis Cerón Mireles, Subdirector Academico, who take the time from his busy schedule and unannounced, visit to give a history of the academy and a personal tour. Mr. Ceron spoke with such warm and obvious love for what he does, music. There was a couple of times when he spoke of a song; not only did he talk about the song, he pulled out a guitar that was sitting next to his desk. He then played and sang the song he was describing. It was a lovely day, our visit of Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Got to meet Mtro. Jorge Luis Aquino Gómez, the Director General. In leaving, Mr. Cerón invited us, me and my friend Mary Williams, to the academys annual festival on Friday, March 13, 2009.
