I had an idea to revive the idea of The Periodic Table, which was the tentative name suggested for a super group of MCs on this board. Since lately pretty much all the regulars have at least gotten along for awhile. This time it'd be a bit more organized and limited, so here's what I'm suggesting.

In this post everyone who would be interested would post that they're interested and whether they'd be up to participate as a Producer, MC, etc...

A new post would be made listing the options after several days went by. Everyone who expressed interest would then list their ideal line up. However, the slots would be limited as such: 5 MCs, 3 Producers, and 1 DJ (if anyone is up to take that position). This way we have an actually existent line up of artists. TO clarify, someone who produces and MCs and is put in the line up as both would take up one of each slots.

Also, I know how many groups some of you are in, and how busy you all are, but this would be some casual type shit. Drop verses whenever you get time, no deadlines or anything like that. Not every MC would be in every song, that would be decided by the group itself. Also, no one is guaranteed membership, even I, and no one should whine about being excluded and whatnot. Even though people who may not get along socially would get put in the group, I'm hoping the clash of ideologies might breed some decent music.

Just an idea,already ran it by Flux, anyone up for it?

definately want to get down with this, as an emcee of course. i was actually just thinking about this the other day, bout time we got some shit rollin again. just got a new mic and mixer, ready to test it out!

I'd be down to contribute as long as that name is changed. I don't like that shit.

But why should an emcee/producer take two spots...let them choose a position...just a thought

The reasoning is, that you might be voted in as a producer, but not an MC. Maybe people like your beats, but not your rapping, so if you were voted in as both, you would take a slot as both.

Why dont you just include all the regulars of the audio forum.

Fu, Terza, Aba, Flux, Doug, Skep, Sarx, Explicit, Cardiac, Scoob, Morgul, Decline, Yllah, infekt, Sponge, Loogie and maybe I forgot some.

and make a 15 or 20 track cd with everybody on it collaborating. It would actually be a sort of Elements miixtape.

Well, my main reason being that I already tried that. This gives the idea a more concrete feel and also utilizes the idea that not everyone on this board likes the music everyone else creates, so the voting in is to try and get a very tight unit of people who will all work together relatively well.

i'm down, and propose the name "Elements" as a group name.

Alright then, once we figure out a definitive line up, we can decide on a different name.

Although he hasn't posted I know Aba is down, I'm mostly waiting for Cardiac and Grizz, to see their thoughts.
