Pretty much 4s across the board. Supastition's been getting some deserved hype recently for his 2nd album, "The Deadline". Although some will call it an EP, it's more solid than most full albums. The production is extremely smooth, including soul samples, thumping basslines, and hard drums. Despite the laidback, polished sound, there's no lack of energy on Supastition's part. Fueled by comptempt and the struggles that newcomers face in the industry, he comes charging out the blocks. Much of his material focuses on the state of hiphop, being an MC, and ego-pumping. Although I find many of his topics tiresome, he switches it up enough to keep it fresh. Aside from a few lazy choruses, the albums pretty solid. There's nothing bad about it, but as an MC he's really yet to impress me. With expanded subject matter and the same quality beats, I'll be looking out for him in the future. A good listen. 10 tracks, no bullshit.
