as long as it was a REVIEW of a classic album. If people just name whatever album they think is classic without bothering to write a single line about it it would be wack . A Classic Review Sticky would be nice though (especially since i rarely write reviews of new albums... :D )

I think we should. But no re-post of the same album. Just list the album and give a rating on each song.

I'd have no problem with this, but how do you guys want to go about it? A straight list wouldn't offer much insight, like Morten said, but if we made a sticky for strictly reviewing classic albums it would get real messy real fast. I was thinking we could do a "classic album of the week" type thing, make a sticky for it and review/discuss it there, but I'm not so sure it would be worth it since many of the albums already being reviewed are classics. I don't know if any element of review/discussion could be added that's not already apparent in the other threads here. But when we agree on an idea we can get it started.

Yeah I think every week you can ask somebody different to post one review on an album they believe it's a classic, but on the same thread or so to make it less of a mess or so, ehh it's hard to explain. But assign people who contribute to the section the most, like you, Morten, me, etc.

the only way it wouldn't get messy if you could somehow manage sub-threads, or links....

i think its a good idea, maybe classic album of the week.

OK now I know what to do.... we have a Classic Album Of The Week done by people selected by you Sai, and then on a seperate thread we list the albums that were done week by week on the Sticky.. and no replies can be done.

Alright, that sounds like it'll work out. I'll make a sticky for the current album of the week, then another sticky for use as a review archive once we have some reviews compiled. If anyone has a problem with this, let me know, as suggestions are still very welcome.

Everyone post in here if you'd like to be a reviewer. You'll get to pick the featured classic album of the week then review it, and we can review/discuss it ourselves. It'll be a nice way to revisit some classics or even find some new ones.

No worries. "Personal classics" are also welcome (by me, at least) as long as a good argument can be made for the album's significance. We're gonna need something to argue about, after all.
