doesn't really matter, being the best isn't all about winning, and montreal did not own boston when they had orr.

ok now this is getting stupid.

1. to be a legendary coach, you have to have won at least one national title unless its college football where theres no playoffs and therefore no on-field determined national champions.

2. during cherry's tenure as the bruins coach he never won a title. montreal won many while in a rivalry with boston. hence they owned cherry.

the bmk thugs are done arguing this.

Not even Vince Lambordi

Phil Jackson was the greatest coach of ALL TIME

He coached the best player EVER in the NBA Michael Jordan

And they won many titles together...Back-to-back

But right now, I'd say Paul Pierce or Jermaine O'Neal is the greatest player in the NBA at the present time...Overall is def Jordan

Its not his coaching ability, its who hes coaching. I could have coached that Bulls team and won. You could coach the Lakers and win. You have Shaq, Mike or Kobe your going to win.

I'm a go with John Wooden. UCLA was unstopable when he was coaching.
