why do people think there are possitive stereotypes? stereotypes are not helpful in anyway becasue they set expectations.

but when people talk about "Possitive Stereotypes", they are still pigeonholing a group of people.

like when Reggie White made that speach three years ago he said:

Whites are great at running buinesses,
Hispanics are great with family because they can fit ten into a one bedroom apartment
Blacks are great at (i don't remember that one)
Asians are great at math and making tiny electronics.

then you have the assumption that whites are good at running businesses. but of course that's not always the case.

you can also look at college.

In Nebraska we had kids who wanted to group with asians in classes because "Asians are good at math".

the fact that people have positive sterotypes is not the problem the problem is the fact that they only think of the negative ones when they come upon a certain group of human being i say human being cause we all fit under that sterotype sept for jack here look at that mullet whew beautiful

Positive stereotypes...they are still stereotypes which set FALSE expectations. I know plenty of jews who aren't good with money and women who don't like babies and italians that aren't stallions
