What laptop should be my next? Suggestions?

I've used nothing but Toshibas, since I got my first "real" laptop. Just about any in their Satellite series is a good look. HP's break too often, from my experience and Dells aren't dependable at all, from what I've seen. What's your price range?

I'm with Card on this one... I bought a Toshiba laptop in Nov 2008 and have been more than happy with it. I run regular virus scans, defrag when needed, watch what I'm downloading and use Firefox to avoid all of the IE bullshit.

I bought a Toshiba because a co-worker of mine said that it was the least repaired brand. Dell and HP were the top for most repairs. I will certainly buy another Toshiba when this one decides to give up on me.

My price range is $700-1200..I have a Mac now, I loved it when I first got it. I like Macs but they're pricey. What's the best Toshiba and how much do they run?

With that price range, whatever Toshiba you get will be THE SHIT. I have the L305 (http://us.toshiba.com/computers/laptops ... L305-S5912). Did a LOT of searching around before I copped it. My main problem is that I don't fuck w/ AMD so, I'd prob get this (http://us.toshiba.com/computers/laptops ... 505D-S8960) if I was in the market... but I'd try to find it w/ an Intel processor.

refurbished macbook pro

I've never really used a Macbook. I know that I don't like OSX, for general purposes. It's a good system to do work on, like production (music, video, and such), though. If you do get a refurbed Mac, make sure you get it from Apple is all I can say about that option.

Thanks. I want to look a little more into that Satillite. 500GB would be nice, and it's a huge screen.
