the production is just too simple

I know he was trying to go for that grimy New York sound and he does a good job on some tracks but the beats are just too much alike (why not get a Pete Rock beat or two to switch it up a bit?)

It's a good album but Album of The Year?? Not even close.

Black, Marcberg is up my alley to a T, but I can see why Mort is saying what he's saying....I was a lot more impressed with the album once i learned Roc did all the beats himself, some quality crate digging there
