Alot of the beats I make have samples from various artists, if I was to try and sell them eventually, would this pose a problem and if so, where would I go to find out the regulations?
thanks

the way I understand it: it's the artist's and/or the artist's label's responsibility to clear the sample before they put it to use. so unless you're using the beat yourself for your own releases, you should be good.

The bottom line is this: If you make money from the work of another, without paying them proper credit (usually money and/or credit notes), you stand to face being sued... depending on how well the record does. There have been cases where people have had to pay more than they made from the sample.

i definitely agree to that one. you need to appreciate and acknowledge others' works so that they won't feel unfair in their part that you'll be using their work for your own intention
