Yeah, long time no see, but I've been kinda saving up my stuff for an EP. You might remember that some years ago I made an instrumental album, well the follow-up has been thrown on the internet right now. Also, what really sucks is that my last album got some really bad critics here, but I came to the conclusion that that was because soundclick messed up the mp3's by making them way too fast. This time around they didn't, I checked it!
So, yeah, it can be checked out at these links:

http://www.megaupload.com/nl/?d=ARNOSQ8K (full download including liner notes)
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... dID=915709
http://www.myspace.com/morgulproductions (because myspace only lets me upload 6 tracks, there's one track missing here)

So yeah, it's entitled Eponymous Apocrypha, it's about a half an hour long, and includes 7 tracks:

1. Bere Shit
2. God's Dog
3. LOLZOMGWTFBBQ
4. Happiness is a Warm Sandwich
5. Toy Guns Make Real Graves
6. Training Mules to Become Kung-Fu Horses
7. Finishing in Finnish

It's mostly instrumental, there's some vocals on God's Dog (spoken word). Entirely made with Fruity Loops and a little bit of Audacity with my guitar and my voice as well. It's instrumental hiphop, but with a lot of different influences, the second track is an attempt at post-rock and the sixth track is somewhat drum'n bassy and there's some ambient on there too.

Anyway, check it out, let me know what you think, even if you think it totally sucks.

Thanks in advance,
Morgul

Wow!!
I'm really impressed
you've grown a lot.
I love the sound of this album
reminds me of people like Sixtoo or any
instrumental ninja tune label artists.(which is a great thing)
I downloaded the megaupload link
rather than listening to it off a site..
I even liked the spoken word it went really well(could have upd the vocals, but I still herd almost every word the first time)
I love the feel of this album you created
after hearing this I can tell you might have a career out of this(if you so dedicate and choose)
Well done man!

Haha, thanks man! Really appreciate it. I don't think I'll ever do something big with this project though, it's more of a hobby thing. Though I might incorporate it somewhat in the style of the band I'm gonna start, we'll see. Oh, and that spoken word, don't worry if you don't really get what I'm saying on there, cause I used some quite twisted logic. It's more of a mood enhancing thing (and I think it does it's work as that quite well) than anything else.

By the way, feel free to let some of your friends check it out, I'd like to have as many people as possible hear it.

I kept hoping to hear some beats, to rhyme over.
It was ok for what it was though, very ambient and relaxing.

Feel free to use any of the beats on this EP to rap over man, as long as you acknowledge they were made by me it's all fine. If you'd like me to remake some of them a little so they'd be more suitable to rap over (because they're not suitable now, let me know. BTW, I recommend you download the EP though, the sound quality is enormously better than on myspace. Get at me if you want something specific, I might be able to make some shit.

Man, I been trying to leave a reply for a minute, but I keep getting them General Error messages.

Anyway, I was honestly kind of taken aback when I heard this. I'm not sure when it exactly happened but sometime over the last year or so you really came into your own. I agree completely with what Kindred Soul said about you having grown as an artist. When I hear this it's like the mature version of the Morgul that used to always be dropping beats on here.

That said, I don't like everything on here. But it's more a matter of taste than anything else. The whole thing sounds very high quality and professional....and I wouldn't expect to like everything on a professional release. Favorite tracks: Toy Guns Make Real Graves, Happiness is a Warm Sandwich, God's Dog.

Good work, homie. As someone who's in the process of trying to find a new sound, it's good to hear someone that's found theirs.

Peace

Thanks man, your crit is extremely appreciated. Made me proud too. I hope you find your style too man, I'm sure it'll be that dope shit as always!

Oh, and MouthPeace, sorry man, but I didn't dig the 'collabo' at all. It sounded like you were mumbling some stuff all the time and then just making some sounds that were hardly entertaining. But yeah, I'm not mad, I made these beats free so anyone may do with it what they want. Just keep on doing your thing I guess.
