i dont think anybody listens to tapes anymore..

except me..
but..
i think your talking about mixed cd's..
my perspective is..
a mix cd should be a blended (mixed) assortement of cuts selected by the dj,
to show his/her love for the music that they think should be hear..
secondary would be to display skills if needed,,or if that djs personality was like that,
i guess it would be music you like presented by your identity or whatever but it has to be mixed
and none of that serato, beatcounting, cd ish..vinyl only...and none of that bootleg vinyl either..
now
is just sloppy compilations
taco bell music
or people cheating like when singers go up there and lip synch..
etc.............
if your looking to make money..
i didnt think its going to happen,
unless you go somewhere where nobody has the internet and cant download it...
i think back in the day djs protected themselves with aka name and throwing the promotional label on the tape or what not, plus i guess it depednds on how much you sell or whatever,,but i dont know, i never really liked that whole making mixtapes for money deal..
blah blah jibba jabba,etc...i could talk for days on this..
