Nearly a year ago, I bought my dream car. It's a classic and not in the best condition (yet). So far I've had to fix only immediate problems, soon I plan on adding power, although it already has more power (a friggin' 454!!) than these sissy rides coming out now.

I much prefer older cars, I'm especially fond of American muscle cars. I don't know much about working on cars which is why I bought the El Camino, for learning purposes. Right now there's an issue with the rear axle I have to determine before I can take it back on the road. It's a loud, grinding sound coming from the center-rear area underneath. I was told it's probably a rear axle issue which could be pricey. It's worth it, I love this car.

HELL YEAH! I used to want a Camino. Prob would cop one (to work on), if I had the loot. Post pics on the progress, man. Shit sounds like fun.

I thought it was the rotors. Until I replaced them and the sound didn't stop. They needed replacement, baaaaad. But it wasn't what was causing the sound.

I'll post pics of mine soon. This week. Ideally after I figure out what's going on with the rear axle.

Update: I'm purchasing a '95 Honda Accord for a daily driver so I can make the El Camino a project. As originally intended. Good news. Picking the Accord up tomorrow.

got an 86 monte carlo sittin in my driveway right now. my brother bought it but never touched it.
