Im taking a break from this shit.

I've been busy lately, so I haven't had the time to visit, but I'm not giving up. Not after I don't know how many years.

And sure, this place isn't hip hop. But that's not what it's about for me. At least not anymore. I just enjoy 'hanging out' with the people that (used to) visit.

I have been here off and on for 4 plus years, started as Xodus but now I go by Free$peech; it's us veterans that are responsible for growing wiser and maintaining substance and content. HHE ain't dead, but like those that went through the Civil Rights movement, the fight and the energy is gone, the torched dropped. So rather than partner with and guide the young, we categorize them and, more often than not, oppose them due to their "newbie" status.

Since I joined in 2001 people on this site have gotten married, had children, gotten divorced, people have fallen in and out of love, lost loved ones, gotten fired, graduated etc

In short, I've been blessed to be a spectator to other peoples lives. How could I ever leave that??

I hate to see this place go... this place helped me develop myself as an emcee, as a writer and as a person. I never thought that a hole in the wall in the world of the internet would have an impact, but it did. H.H.E. has been filled with genuine folks and people that keep it real. Or as I'd like to say, treal. I've been inspired by many and has learned from some, won and lost battles here. Damn, I started here when I was 13 and I'm 21 now. It does seem like the end is near for this place, but before that happens and the dust clears, I just want to let the folks here know that it's people like each one of us that contributed to this place that made it the way it is and was. Keep it original yall.

i have been in and out of this place since i was a sophomore in high school i think i was 15. im now 24. i have came and gone the greater part of the last few years. i have been here when i graduated high school, when i was in college, when i went and moved to Orlando to work for Disney for 8 months, when i joined the navy, and still here.

It sucks that since i haven't been here too much recently, i don't know who too many people originally are cuz of SN changes
