Label : Lumberjack Records (Oct 4th, 2005)
Production : Showbiz
1 A Whole Lotta - A-Bless (4)
Just a short intro but the beat is bangin'. A nice way to start the album.
2 On My Way - Fat Joe & Party Arty (4,5)
I first heard this on Premiers "Step Ya Game Up 1" and it sound ALOT better without Premos scratches. If anyone thing Fat Joe lost it just check out this album becasue he comes correct on all the songs he appear on.
3 Chase Game - OC & AG (4)
At first I thought the beat was a little weird but it's actually catchy as fuck and it's nice to hear that A.G still got it plus the Biggie sample is nice
4 Where You At? - Big Pun & Big L (4)
Dope verses from both MC's, reminds me just how much I miss Big L.
5 Pounds Up (Remix) - M.O.P. (4,5)
Dope dope dope remix. I hope this isn't the last time Show & MOP hook up. The beat matches them perfect!
6 Back in my Hood - Big L & Party Arty (4)
Of course Big L steals this as well. Listening to L makes you realize that all those thug punchline rappers who stole his style are all really wack...
7 All Seasons - Party Arty (4)
Think JayZ "Girls Girls Girls" but replaced with the word bitch instead. It incredibly dumb but still very funky....you gotta love it!
8 A Lotta Luv - Party Arty (4)
Whether or not you like this album really comes down to how you feel about Party Arty since he's on half the tracks (if you don't know who Party Arty is he's the guy who did the raspy voice thing way before DMX and Ja Rule...). Personally I like Ghetto Dwellers so...
9 That’s Bless - A-Bless (3,5)
Nice grimey beat but nothing special.
10 Bronx Tales - Fat Joe (4)
Another Fat Joe banger. He could still make a really dope album if he used the right producers (NOT Cool & Dre). This is a nice crime story with a dope ass beat
11 A Look At My Life - Party Arty (3,5)
Another Party Arty track. His weakest on the album but it's still dope.
12 Done In Vain - Milano (4)
The first I heard of Milano was on the DITC album and that track was nice. He was also on one of the few good tracks from the latest Beatnuts album. This track is pretty nice too, I wouldn't mind hearing more form him.
13 Best Behavior - Big Pun & Fat Joe (4)
The chemestry between Joe & Pun have always been amazing, this track is no different.
14 Show & Prove - Party Arty (4)
Dope!
15 My Bad - Fat Joe & Party Arty (4)
Once again Fat Joe rips it. His latest album was weak for sure but he comes correct on this one for sure.
16 Deal with a Feelin' - Milano (4)
yeah, we need more Milano tracks.
17 You Aint a Killer - AG, Ruck, Party Arty & D-Flow (4)
Nice posse track. Makes me look forward to the upcoming AG solo album.
18 Ridin’ & Rollin’ - D-Flow & A-Bless (3,5)
The weakest cut on the album. Beats and rhymes are ok but nothing more.
Overall : 4,25 / 5
Finally! An album that still sound like 6 years ago. I had my doubts about this album but it was every bit as dope as I had hoped. The beats aren't that far from the ones found on the DITC album but overall they're better.
The only negative thing is that some tracks are way too short and where the hell is Lord Finesse?!
Drops Oct 4th, get it!
