Madvillian is the most over-rated album of the last year. So if this isn't as good as that album, I will be passing on this Mouse & Mask drop. I have been waiting for a review of this cd, thanks...

What can I say?

Maybe I should switch my monicker to Jet Li... The One?

Every single person that I played the Madvillian album for felt the same thing... "This is supposed to be a dope album? There was only a few dope tracks? WTF? Glad I didnt buy it."

There are like 4 above average songs on that album in my opinion.

Some decent tracks. The other half just gets skipped along the way.

If I skip every other song, usually I dont think it is a great album.

Marlon thought the new Blackalicious album wasnt great. So I guess it isnt the end of the world, or is it?

The review stated Mouse & Mask wasnt as good as Madvillian. That is what I was waiting to hear. Regardless, I will be listening to this album before I even think about buying it, and I doubt that a purchase will occur. Not after the let-down I heard on Madvillian.

Sorry, but it is
OVERRATED!

Nah, you and yours just have bad taste. Cats around my way loved that when it dropped...but then again I was staying in Oxnard so we were hella biased...but maybe it's the same way you incorrectly thought Sleep was nice.

Madvillain isnt the type of album you listen to once to decide if you like it. It takes awhile for it to sink in.

Opinions, when it really comes down to it, are neither correct or incorrect.

And yes bias occurs at every corner.

Kinda how you incorrectly thought Madvillian was nice?

Trust me... I already tried that. I gave it quite a few chances honestly.

I listened to it a lot more than once Duke.

So I guess that is just like saying to someone who jocks Madvillian...

"Nah, you and yours have bad taste for lovin that shit when it dropped"?

Look... I lend a lot of cd's and burn a lot of cd's for my friends. We all listen to hip hop, but my friends really kind of count on me out of all of us to know whats good. Not saying I am omni-all-knowing by any means, but I have about 450 hip hop cd's, so there is a level of credibility. I burn a cd, give it to them, and if they like it, then they buy the cd. I make them do that if they like and support the artist. I see that as only fair. If they dont like it, then they pass on the cd to another friend, or give it back.

I gave copies of Madvillian to about half a dozen friends to see if they felt it. 1 person bought the cd, the rest said the same thing I did... "What a let down!"

Now in the arena known as logic, how is it wrong to have an opinion that the one homie who bought the Madvillian cd after hearing it had bad taste?

That's that bullshit. If you really thought that you wouldn't be writing about how "Madvillainy is overrated" in bold faced letters, like it's a fact. Don't try to bullshit a bullshitter.

did you like the "Ghetto Pop Life" album? Maybe you should check this on the strength of DM instead of Doom.

i'd be hangin out with that 1 kid more then.

but the truth is this album is a lot different than Madvillainy. I could see more people feeling this because i think it may be more "catchy" and appealing to a wider crowd as far as beats and such go - its not as dark sounding as MV (although ME personally - i still like madvillain more).
