I would guess because she hasn't listened to enough, plus she's a classical type gal. Jazz, although at times is just as smooth and moving, tends to be a little more improvised, and at times down right chaotic with the high trumpets and sax's. So maybe it just doesn't "do it" for her?
That'd be my guess.
We're probably all wrong though.

Yeah... it's because it used to steal my lunch money and break my glasses.

No, actually I like the sound of jazz, even the chaos. Yeah, I'm a classical music girl, but a MODERN classical music girl - dissonant and even atonal classical music that makes people run away screaming. But anyway, people just talk about jazz so, um, snobbily and superiorly. Kind of like how people talk about hip hop too. :-? I just feel like "real" jazz connaisseurs are sneering at me, looking down their noses at me because I don't know as much as they do. (Kind of like hip hop heads at Elements. :-? )

Yeah, but you know about those bangin crescendo's and stuff.
I love jazz, but I'm not snobby about it...
Then again I really don't know enough about it or it's talent to be that way.
