what would be covered in your chapters? things like, the southern takeover? underground v.s. mainstream? backpackers? artists reinventing themselves? would you have anything to cover at all? where would you start and where would you end it?

to me the biggest standouts of this 'era' have been the death of posse cuts and the beginning of a collaboration free for all without borders. also i think there have been more high profile deaths this decade than any other that i can think of.

i feel like having a real discussion about hip hop.

I'd focus on the phasing out of the main culture rap, dj, b-boy, and graph.
the low level of creativity now pushed as the the greatest form of expression of the art.
the take over of stupidity over intellectual lyricism
the lost art of battling
the mainstream induction of breaking, rap, and djing
the lost, lost art of graph
the effect on different communities
why albums are coming out below the radar
why distribution companies dissin' rap
why radio is fucking it up for all artists...
