Rage Against the Machine

Rock Band Rage Against the Machine are still rumored to perform at Australia's Big Day Out in Sydney on January 24, 2008. Rage Against the Machine last played at Australia's Big Day Out 11 years ago.

 

The Big Day Out is an annual music festival that tours New Zealand and Australia which started in 1992 in Sydney. The music festival accommodates popular contemporary rock music, mainstream international acts in addition to local acts. This music festival is marked as Australia's biggest music event, attracting top bands from around the world.

 

In 2000, the rock band broke up. Singer Zack de la Rocha started work on a solo album that is still yet to be released. Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk teamed up with singer Chris Cornell and became rock group ‘Audioslave'.

 

Rage Against the Machine released their last studio album ‘Renegades' in 2000.

 

The band is currently confirmed to play at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on January 22 and Melbourne's Festival Hall on January 30.
