R Kelly

R. Kelly called a moments silence during a concert in New York last week (November 23rd) to pay tribute to Kanye West’s mother, Donda.

The R&B star also dedicated his song, ‘I Wish,’ to Donda West, who died at the age of 52 after complications are understood to have arisen following cosmetic surgery.

"Let's have a moment of silence for Kanye West's mum," R. Kelly told the audience at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale before bursting into a performance of the song.

R. Kelly’s also faced requests throughout the concert from the audience for fellow rapper Ne-Yo to appear.

Ne-Yo was due to co-headline the tour alongside R. Kelly but dropped out because of contractual reasons.
