A default judgment has been issued for rapper Plies after the artist and his manager, David Gay, never show up to their court appearance for a civil lawsuit that they were facing from Patrick Monifston of P Entertainment Promotions.
See Also:According to the lawsuit, Plies never bothered to perform in Montgomery, disappointing some 1,500 fans. After the audience learned Plies would not appear, a melee broke out in the crowd that caused thousands of dollars in damages to the club, according to Montgomery Advertiser.
The terms of the judgment were not released to the public, but according to Monifston it would be at least $11,000 to repay expenses that included bringing Plies to Montgomery, as well as other damages the promotional group may have sustained from Plies absence.
