Despite the big blow he received with his mother's death, Kanye West recently got some good news when GQ magazine named him one of their honorees for Men of the Year. The rapper graces one of three separate covers for the mag, which also selected Bill Clinton and James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, to keep West company. "I'm the number-one artist in the world right now. I'm the number-one human being in music," Kanye tells the mag. "That means any person who's living or breathing is number two. You are in the presence of a champion." West admitted to the mag in their cover story that his hyped up feud with 50 Cent was his idea and a "complete publicity stunt." The magazine will hit newsstands November 27. Also in the mag are Lil Wayne, Robin Thicke and Rihanna. ...

His debut album, Food & Liquor, released to rave reviews and catapulted him to stardom. But, despite all the kind words he's received, Lupe doesn't welcome it. He actually doesn't feel he's that good. In a recent interview with Rhyme & Reason magazine, the rapper explains his struggle to be accepted. "I am not the hip-hop savior. I am not that guy. I mean, I don't really think that I'm that good," said the rapper. "I know I have talent and things of that nature, but all I see is my flaws. So in saying that, when people listen to my music I want them to hear when I messed up that line. All I see is flaws 'cause I don't think [I'm] that good. But people are like, 'Yo, your music is this, is that.' Thank you, but no thank you [laughing]." ...
