Kanye West

Despite the big blow he received with his mother's death, Kanye West recently got some good news when GQ magazine named him one of their honorees for Men of the Year. The rapper graces one of three separate covers for the mag, which also selected Bill Clinton and James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, to keep West company. "I'm the number-one artist in the world right now. I'm the number-one human being in music," Kanye tells the mag. "That means any person who's living or breathing is number two. You are in the presence of a champion." West admitted to the mag in their cover story that his hyped up feud with 50 Cent was his idea and a "complete publicity stunt." The magazine will hit newsstands November 27. Also in the mag are Lil Wayne, Robin Thicke and Rihanna. ...

In other Kanye news, the rapper recently put his Beverly Hills estate on the market. It is listed on Realtor.com for $8,699,000, in which they call it "a rare offering." It two-story home on a nearly 35,000 sq. ft. lot features 6 bedrooms, 4 baths and a detached garage. But, according to TMZ, the house is actually a "teardown" -- and the property is being offered just for the lot. ...

Despite the rumors and differences plaguing the Wu-Tang Clan's forthcoming album, The 8 Diagrams, they are set to begin touring. According to MTV, their tour will begin on December 15 in Chicago, and runs through January 26 where it wraps up in St. Petersburg, Florida. ...

Timbaland and his fiancée, Monique Idlett, recently gave birth to a baby girl named Reign, a source revealed to MTV recently. The baby girl weighed in at nine pounds after delivery. ...

Everyone by now has seen the photos of Fergie online where she looked to have pissed her pants on stage. Well, in the December issue of Allure, she explained what happened. Apparently, she didn't want to disappoint her fans by being late. "I just did not stop on the way to go to the bathroom," she tells the mag, on newsstands November 27. "But yeah, I won't live that down. It won't happen again, though. Peeing is one of my rituals before going onstage." ...

Lupe Fiasco has been heralded as a breath of fresh air in hip-hop. His debut album, Food & Liquor, released to rave reviews and catapulted him to stardom. But, despite all the kind words he's received, Lupe doesn't welcome it. He actually doesn't feel he's that good. In a recent interview with Rhyme & Reason magazine, the rapper explains his struggle to be accepted. "I am not the hip-hop savior. I am not that guy. I mean, I don't really think that I'm that good," said the rapper. "I know I have talent and things of that nature, but all I see is my flaws. So in saying that, when people listen to my music I want them to hear when I messed up that line. All I see is flaws 'cause I don't think [I'm] that good. But people are like, 'Yo, your music is this, is that.' Thank you, but no thank you [laughing]." ...
