R. Kelly

Hot off the press this week, R. Kelly tells Ne-Yo to step in the name of love, Kelly Rowland is giving it up for nothing and Alicia Keys just might be destiny's child.

HATE ON ME HATER!

Panties are in a bunch over R. Kelly dropping Ne-Yo from his Double Up tour, a multi-city engagement that also features Keyshia Cole and newcomer J. Holiday. While SOHH was on location at their recent show in Atlanta, Georgia [view exclusive concert footage here], we didn't notice any tension between the two so this comes as quite a surprise not only for us but for Ne-Yo as well.

"I don't understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing," said Ne-Yo via a statement. "In my opinion, I was doing everything possible to make the tour a success. [Read more here]

Soulman says... Keyshia is the one who should be dropped. Have you seen her concert performance? [View video here]

IF YOU BUILD IT, SOMETIMES THEY STILL WON'T COME!

Apparently Kelly Rowland's music career is really in need of this proposed re-release of her sophomore CD, Ms. Kelly, slated for 2008. We received a snippet of her new single "Daylight" featuring Gym Class Heroes and we're still curious if it's all worth the bullet.

Now to make matters worst, after reports came in from casino managers that she canceled her tour and was hard pressed to give refunds to the ticket holders, her camp is saving face by offering free tickets to her remaining shows via Ticketmaster. [Click here for your free ticket]

Soulman says... Damn! But they say the best things in life are free, but that can't be true because Beyonce's tickets cost a grip.

ALL THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD!

Alicia Keys proves all that glitters with her is gold as her third studio album, As I Am, received early projections of moving over 700,000 copies-- a feat that hasn't been reached by a female artist in that category since Mary J. Blige released The Breakthrough.

Alicia further raises the bar with the release of her new video "Like You'll Never See Me Again" featuring rapper Common. [View video here]

Soulman says... I told y'all she was immune to Beyonce-it is!

MUSICAL CHAIRS?

As we get closer to the end of the 4th quarter, the record labels are scrambling for new strategies to set off their P&L's while at the same time trying to pop off a hit single.

This week, the industries biggest gossips are saying the Mya was dropped from Universal after wasting nearly $3 million of Motown's money. It's rumored that Amerie is being dropped from Columbia and that Solange Knowles is now signed to Geffen. WTF?

Soulman defers to Brandy on this one "There use to be a few artists at a time, and now even the veterans are waiting in line."

But while you were wondering if Queen Latifah should return to rappin' we were singing the praises of the neo soul hippie rockstars [read more here] and test driving some of the hottest songs about to take over radio
