Well, being on house arrest and awaiting an upcoming federal trial on weapons charges hasn't dampened T.I.'s holiday spirit. Though his lawyers recently withdrew a request to have family and friends (the list was reportedly 95 people) join him at his house for Thanksgiving dinner, the rapper is keeping himself busy this week with a number of upcoming charitable efforts to help clean up his image. Through his Grand Hustle K.I.N.G. foundation, T.I. will donate 400 turkeys to those in need. A Thanksgiving dinner will be hosted at Club Crucial on a first come, first served basis. But the T.I. giving doesn't stop there. T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, is joining forces with the Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless in Atlanta by trying to raise $150,000 for the organization. T.I. will call on his friends to help contribute. This year, the HFTH program is hosting Thanksgiving dinner at the Dekalb County Jail on Wednesday, and then at the Atlanta Braves Stadium's Turner Field on Thursday. Though T.I. will not be able to attend any of these events due to his current situation, a rep for him stated that he will be there "in spirit." In addition to his Thanksgiving contributions, T.I. has also recently contributed $5000 to the Women's Empowerment fund. While on house arrest, T.I. is also recording his upcoming release Paper Trail, which has not yet been scheduled for release. According to a spokesperson, this will be the first time since I'm Serious where the rapper writes his rhymes down on paper before recording his songs for the album.
