VP of CP Records and 2007 MuchMusic Video Award (MMVA) winner, Palestinian-Canadian rapper Belly has now become the first independent Canadian hip hop artist to go Gold this century with his double album debut The Revolution. This accomplishment comes hot on the heels of his new video for the album's third single "Ridin'" featuring Mario Winans, which was added as The Big One last month at MuchMusic.
See Also:After releasing on June 5, 2007, on CP Records/Fontana North, The Revolution's first single "Pressure" featuring Grammy Award winner Ginuwine, reached number eight on the Canadian Top 100, and its video went to number one on MuchMusic's Countdown in April of 2007. Second single "Don't Be Shy", featuring Latina R&B sensations Nina Sky reached number 12 on the Canadian Top 100, and the song's video reached number seven on the MuchMusic Countdown. "Ridin", the album's third single, is currently at number 31 this week on the Canadian Top 100.
