Jimmy Page

Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page has blasted the first reunion show the band gave together--at the original Live Aid in 1985.

Speaking ahead of the band's latest reunion on December 10 at the O2 Arena in London, the guitarist admitted that the band's brief reunion at the charity concert at Philadelphia was a disaster.

"Live Aid was pretty shambolic," he told BBC News. "We came together and rehearsed with a drummer we'd never met before and then we were joined by Phil Collins, who we'd never played with before, on this great Live Aid stage."

He added: "We went there with the spirit of it, but actually it was pretty shambolic."

The band even refused to allow their performance to be included on the Live Aid DVD release in 2004, making a charitable donation instead.
