Fabio explained to the magazine that he had been attending a charity dinner at a restaurant that Clooney had happened to be dining in. Throughout the evening photographers had been snapping pictures of Fabio and his guests, angering Clooney to no end.
According to Fabio, Clooney thought the photographers were taking pictures of him and began to call the guests at Fabio's table names, hurling insults at the women. One of the ladies told Fabio that Clooney called her "a fat cow" at which point Fabio approached Clooney's table.
Fabio told OK! that Clooney was drunk and acting belligerent when he arrived at the table but he was invited to look at the pictures to ensure there were none taken of him. Clooney apparently settled down and Fabio returned to his table only to hear Clooney start in again.
At that point Fabio went after Clooney and the Hollywood star bolted from the restaurant.
Recounting the incident, Fabio told OK!, "You have to be a low-class, scumbag to start calling a woman a name. If you're a man, you should never. You should be a gentleman. These women were with me and as a man I defend them. He was lucky he ran out of the restaurant. He's not even half a man."
