On December 4, Amaru Entertainment and Interscope Records will release two new, separate Tupac compilations, The Best of 2Pac Part 1: Thug and The Best of 2Pac Part 2: Life. Assembled with the assistance of Pac's mother and executive producer, Afeni Shakur, each CD will contain one previously unreleased track, one new remix and nine classic ‘Pac tracks. Part 1 will include the unreleased track "Resist the Temptation," and a new mix of "Dear Mama" with Anthony Hamilton. Part 2 features the song "Dopefiend's Diner," which utilized a vocal sample from Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner," as well as an acoustic remix of "Thugz Mansion" featuring all three of ‘Pac's verses. A portion of the profits from both CDs will be donated to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation.
