Hip Hop icons, The Beastie Boys, and current superstar, Kanye West are among the celebrities tapped to fight hunger in New York City and South Africa. The Beasties and Kanye are both designing custom lunchboxes which will be auctioned off to benefit the Food Bank For New York City and The Lunchbox Fund of South Africa. The auction will take place online at www.lunchboxauction.org and will run from December 7th to December 21st.

On December 7th, REM's Michael Stipe will host an invitation only fundraiser at Saatchi & Saatchi in New York City.

Other celebrity designers include Elton John, Yoko Ono, John Mayer, and Mike Myers. Mike Myers spoke about the cause saying, ""I'm honored to once again be a part of The Lunchbox Auction, The Lunchbox Fund and Food Bank For New York City have created a wonderful way to raise money and awareness about hunger and poverty in South Africa and New York."
