The war of words between The Lox and former D-Block member, J-Hood, are still heating up.
See Also:After publicly dissing his former crew via a YouTube video where he is seen dragging his D-Block chain across the sidewalk and then airing out the dirty laundry in another (see "J-Hood Speaks D-Block, 50 Cent, Loyalty & More "), J-Hood doesn't seem to be having the best of luck as far as getting a clean break from his contract with D-Block Records. Since recently revealing that The Lox are refusing to release him in a statement to XXL (see "J-Hood Stuck In D-Block Contract?"), Styles P has come forward to reveal why he and his crew are doing so, despite going through the same thing before when trying to get their publishing back from Diddy back in 2005 (see "The Lox, Diddy Go At It On New York Radio"). In a recent interview with HipHopGame.com, Styles admits to not letting Hood free and why. "Fall the f--- back and come speak to us like a man before you go to the internet. Stop being corny," Styles said. "I told him he was off the label and then he went and got disrespectful by dragging the chain and disrespecting what we built. I told him then I wished him the best. "Why the f--- should I let him off? Tell him to tell me why. He was off before he did the dumb sh--. He can get off if he makes a public apology on the internet. Make that apology nice and humble," continued the rapper. J-Hood revealed in September that he was leaving D-Block and even sat down with Styles to make it official, but then went on a tirade, dissing his former crew and even aligning himself with their enemies, specially 50 Cent. But as mentioned, he is stuck, for now. "As all the majority of the fans out there know, I asked to be released from D-Block approximately three months ago and 'til this day I've yet to be released from the label," J-Hood said. "The CEOs in charge of the corporation are refusing to sign the papers necessary for me to go free as an artist, and on top of that, they [have] even [threatened] to ask for money for the release."
