A couple of months ago Diddy announced he was having a contest to find a new personal assistant. Simple rules: candidates post a video on YouTube explaining why they should get the job and he'd shake the best from the rest. Tons of videos flooded the site, but Diddy discovered he needed to clarify the qualities of a personal assistant. It was just a few days ago, with news of his Vodka deal and the Cavalli party, that I thought, who won that assistant job? That question was right on time, yesterday Diddy was on Oprah to announce the winner.

After watching thousands of videos he narrowed it down to three.

Heather Joy Thompson, has a law degree, Peace Corps, "smart."

Cedric King, a financial conference salesman.

And Nick, whose video I won't post because Nick was described as an ‘ambitious rapper' and the video I found was by Nicholas Ballasy, a guy that looks like he wants to be a news reporter or kicking shoes with corporate lobbyists on Capitol Hill, not taking calls for Diddy.

Here is Diddy's Nick.

I'm wondering if there was another layer to the selection process, because there is nothing that stands out of either of those videos that screams, "that's my new assistant."

Diddy thought different, he chose Heather. Why ya do dat, Diddy?

"It was just her passion, it was the way she articulated herself. I think she really understood what the job entailed. She had a background that was stellar, being a lawyer and her work in the Peace Corps. And just the way she came across, you know."

Let me rewind. When you watch Heather's video, not looking to be entertained or after the numberless that instantly identify themselves as unqualified in the first ten seconds, then you can see why her video popped out. Cedric's is still a mystery.

Diddy told Cedric and Nick to keep grinding. Maybe they'll get a makeover and enter the next round. That's right, Diddy said he's got one new personal assistant, but he needs three.

The next three assistants will be selected on a new Apprentice-like reality show on VH1.

Expect a lot of bridge skipping for cheesecake and a remix of Trump's fingerpoint and phrase, "You're Fired!"
