A longtime business partner of Jam Master Jay recently revealed that the man who shot and killed the co-founder and deejay of Run DMC has a tattoo on his neck.

On October 30th 2002, two armed men stormed into Jam Master Jay’s recording studio in Queens, New York and killed the legendary deejay. To date, his murder has not been solved.

JMJ’s associate, Randy Allen, who was at the studio on the night of the slaying, tells The New York Daily News that his sister saw a man with a tattoo on his neck stroll towards Jam Master Jay and kill him.

Allan’s sister, Lydia High, worked for JMJ and was ordered to the floor by the gunmen when they stormed into the studio.  High said that the tattooed man approached Jam Master Jay, embraced him, and shot twice at the Run DMC deejay.

The first shot missed and hit JMJ’s friend, Tony Rincon, in the leg.  The second shot tore through the back of JMJ’s head. Allen says that his sister could not identify what the tattoo was.

Allen claims he was in the studio's control room while the murder took place. When he heard the gunshots he rushed out of the room to find JMJ dead on the floor and the gunmen gone.

“My buddy's lying there, bleeding from his head,” he told The Daily News. “I'm looking at Jay and my head is gone. All I know is he's not moving. And all I could think about was who the f--- had just left.”

High told authorities that one of the men who stormed into studio and put a gun to her head was Ronald “Tinard” Washington.

Washington, who was well known to Jam Master Jay and his circle of friends, was convicted earlier this year for six armed robberies he committed in November 2002, just weeks after JMJ's murder.

Washington was identified by federal prosecutors in April as one of the gunmen involved in JMJ’s murder.  He has also been connected to the killing of Randy “Stretch” Walker, a close associate of Tupac Shakur.

Washington has denied any involvement in the killings and has not been charged.

Allen, who was once accused of ordering JMJ’s death to collect on an insurance policy, claims he has cooperated fully with authorities.

He also believes JMJ's  killer is from the same Queens neighborhood that he and  the famed deejay grew up in. He also revealed his frustration with Rincon, who he claims has refused to identify the killer.

“This is not a Biggie Smalls or Tupac case. This is a case that can be solved,” Allan emphasized. “The person they have locked up who was involved with it is a person from the neighborhood. It's not like we're talking about somebody who flew in from L.A. We're talking about people right from the neighborhood.”
