T-PAIN

*The latest mug shot to hit the Internet belongs to R&B singer T-Pain, who surrendered to authorities Friday (Nov. 2) in his native Tallahassee after receiving an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license.

Officials said the artist was driving around town last June in his Lamborghini Gallardo even though his driver's license had been revoked for being a habitual traffic violator. Police issued an arrest warrant on June 15 charging the rapper with a non-moving traffic violation and driving with a suspended license.

"He is a habitual offender," Tallahassee Police Department spokesperson Kathy McGhin said. "This is his third charge."

An official at Jive records explained to allhiphop.com: "T-Pain was given a few traffic tickets several years ago for minor infractions [a speeding ticket, running a stop sign, failure to pay]. These were mistakes that Pain made as a young man who just received his driver's license. He did not have the money nor the knowledge at the time to take care of them."

T-Pain, born Faheem Najm, turned himself in at the Leon County Jail in Tallahassee Friday morning and was later released.

The 23-year-old's current sophomore album, "Epiphany," spawned the hit singles "Buy U a Drank" and "Bartender." His trademark use of the vocoder to robotize his vocals has led to guest appearances on numerous records, including current singles from Chris Brown ("Kiss Kiss"), Kanye West ("Good Life") and Cyclone ("Baby Bash").

T-Pain's first album, 2005's "Rappa Ternt Sanga," produced two hit singles, including "I'm In Luv (Wit a Stripper)."
