Cam'ron has finally revealed why he's been gone for so long.

During an interview with Miss Info of New York radio station Hot 97 on Wednesday, he explained that he decided to stay out of the spotlight for the last few months because his mother was recovering from a series of strokes that left her paralyzed on the left side of her body. Cam moved his mother down to Florida to recuperate.

"Even when I had my mom situated, she had the help she needs, the physical therapy," he told Info. "Everything was right — that was like a month ago — [but] I still laid low, because when I come out it's gonna be done right. But I just sat back and bugged out at how everyone else was acting ... I heard all the rumors, mad felonious sh--, fake sh--."

Of course, Cam helped fuel speculation with a video he sent to MTV News a couple of weeks back.

Killa Cam also told Miss Info that he has no hard feelings toward Dipset members Jim Jones and Juelz Santana for popping up onstage with his lyrical nemesis 50 Cent several weeks ago (see"Jim Jones Addresses Schism With Cam'ron" and "50 Cent Joins Forces With Jim Jones, Covers Kanye West At First Of Five NYC Shows").

"I still haven't spoken to Jim," he said. "Everybody thinks I'm mad at Jim. Why am I mad? I told people for years that Jimmy was gonna be a star, so it's better on my résumé. I wish him the best.

"Actually, that was a great move for 50," he added. " ... You're really snatching a person from their own set. And then you also are seeing these n---as' potential." Although Cam said it was a great move on 50's behalf to bring Jim and Juelz onstage, he didn't agree with his onetime-inseparable friends' choice.

Cam's new mixtape, Public Enemy #1, comes out Tuesday. It is a two-CD set filled with material he'd originally intended for his next official album.
