During a show at the Highline Ballroom in Manhattan, New York on Saturday (October 20), Little Brother announced that they are severing ties with ABB Records and Atlantic Records.
The group's ties with ABB Records ends today (October 23) with the release of their third album, GetBack.
Earlier this year, Little Brother asked to be released from Atlantic Records due to creative differences with the label. Around the same time, Phonte and Big Pooh also revealed that producer 9th Wonder had departed from the group.
During the aforementioned concert, which also featured performances from Brother Ali and Evidence of Dilated Peoples, Phonte also revealed that Dilated Peoples are in the process of leaving Capitol Records.
"Both of us about to be free from all labels," said Phonte. "With or without a deal or a label, we're still here and it's all because of y'all, (the fans)".
