According to Wu-Tang's official website, wu-tangcorp.com, the group's tour which was slated to take place later this year to promote their latest album 8 Diagrams has been cancelled. The tour has reportedly been postponed to spring 2008. 8 Diagrams, which drops on December 4th, is the group's fifth album. The Staten Island rap collective hasn't dropped an album together since 2001. On the same day that 8 Diagrams drops, Ghostface will release his seventh solo album, Big Dough Rehab, as well as a book titled The World According to Pretty Toney. Earlier this week, Ghostface expressed his frustration with the Wu-Tang hierarchy for pushing back the Wu album to the same date as his album's release. Ghost also accused Loud Record honcho Steve Rifkin of trying to halt the release of Big Dough Rehab and failing to compensate him for his tour appearances with the Wu earlier this year. Despite the cancellation of the group's tour, Ghost is currently hitting the tarmac by himself as part of the "Adult Swim Tour" and the "Hip Hop Live" tour which features Rakim and Brother Ali. The rapper will also be starring in the Iron Man movie which will open in theaters in 2008.
