*Rapper C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller, will be tried for second-degree murder a second time on Feb. 11 in New Orleans, a judge announced Tuesday.
Miller was originally found guilty of shooting 16-year-old Steve Thomas in Jan. 2002 at a Harvey nightclub. He received a life sentence in Sept. 2003, but the artist appealed the verdict and his conviction was overturned in March of 2004, after it was discovered that prosecutors attempted to boost the credibility of at least five prosecution witnesses by expunging their criminal records.
In 2004, Judge Martha Sassone ordered that a new trial date be scheduled for the performer, who is the brother of No Limit Records founder Percy "Master P" Miller.
If convicted, Corey Miller faces a mandatory life sentence.
