With BET's Hip-Hop Awards just around the corner, T.I., along with newcomer Soulja Boy, have been added to the roster of those taking the stage at this year's festivities. Hosted by funnyman Katt Williams for the second consecutive year, the highly anticipated event is set to take place at Atlanta's Civic Center on Saturday, October 13 and will air on BET on Wednesday, October 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In addition to T.I., who lead this year's list of nominees with nine nods, viewers will also witness performances by Nelly, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West and Common. Other celebrities set to make appearances include Wyclef Jean, Keyshia Cole, Cassidy, Dizzee Rascal, DJ Premier, Joell Ortiz, Kardinal Offishall, Lil Mama, Phonte of Little Brother, Ras Kass and Stat Quo. This year's awards will also see several extras including legendary hip-hop artist KRS-One, who will be honored with the "I Am Hip Hop" Icon Award and Soulja Boy, who will present his fans best videos of his "Crank Dat" dance, as a backdrop to his performance.
