On July 6, 2007, music producer Timbaland revealed that the diamond on Nelly Furtado’s finger that flashed in the lights at Wembley Stadium during the Grammy Award winner’s set at the Concert for Diana is an engagement ring. Canadian singer Nelly Furtado is reportedly engaged to her new boyfriend Demacio ’Demo’ Castellon after an 18-month romance. The Maneater hitmaker, 28, admitted last summer she had a "secret boyfriend", but refused to discuss her relationship further.

U.S. magazine People reports Furtado and Castellon met in late 2005 when she was recording her hit album Loose - shortly after she split from long-termlove, DJ Jasper ’Lil’ Jaz’ Gahunia - father of her three-year-old daughter Nevis. When asked if Furtado is engaged to Castellon, the singer’s producer Timbaland said, "Yes."
