Hip-hop artists Master P and Romeo have chosen the independent music site AmieStreet.com to release their content and increase their online music presence.

The relationship, part of a larger deal between the digital distributor GoDigital Music Group and AmieStreet.com, kicks off today, July 3 with the album, Gutta Music All-Stars, which features an exclusive bonus track from the Miller Boys (Master P & Romeo) titled "Let the Kids Grow."

"As you may have heard, Romeo and I are taking a stand against the negativity in hip-hop because we all need to be responsible for our actions and the communities we represent," said Master P. "Similarly, Amie Street is out there making a positive impact on the future of online music by making it available to people in a new way and I like what they've got going on."

Iconic rock group Meat Puppets will also bring their new album Rise To Your Knees to AmieStreet.com on July 3 as part of a digital exclusive in advance of the title's street date. This marks the first release from the band since 2000 and the first in a dozen years to reunite brothers Curt and Cris Kirkwood. Meat Puppets are best known for their DIY style and influential role in the Rock genre which was best
captured by the multi-song performance with Nirvana on MTV's legendary 1994 special, Unplugged.

AmieStreet.com's new approach to selling digital music has already caught the attention of pop stars the Barenaked Ladies and multi-platinum rapper The Game, who have released albums on the site. All songs on AmieStreet.com start free and rise in price the more they are purchased, with a cap at $0.98. The community driven pricing model creates a dynamic destination for fans to discover new music and find
great deals; for artists it's a seamless promotional tool to generate buzz and sales.

"On the eve of our one year anniversary, we're all excited at what this partnership signals for our future and the future of digital music," said CEO Elliott Breece. "I'm very proud of the progress Amie Street has made in just one year, and I'm just as enthusiastic and inspired by the response we received from music fans and artists who are embracing this new model and making it a success."

Over the course of the summer GoDigital Music Group will continue to bring significant content contributions to Amie Street as part of their distribution and marketing services for artists and labels of all genres. Other artists slated to make a home on the site include: Tokyo Rose, Tom Langford, Terron Brooks, LOS, Plumbline, Ariana, Forrest, Fin, The Sterns, UNIQ, 7 Blue Skies, Gutta Boyz, as well as other full albums from Master P and Romeo.
