Nas makes it big on the charts as his album sales Hip Hop is Dead reads at 355 000 copies sold during its first week according to Nielsen Soundscan.

Although there has been a lot of controversy with his move to Def Jam and the title of the album, Nas shows that he is still one of the most creative and talented rappers.

His first week sales means a lot for Hip Hop as a lot of artists have recently benefit from marketing and promotion support but still gathering deceiving albums sales.

Nas has put out one of the most creative albums of 2006 and shows everybody that people still love good music.
