In response to hip hop mogul Russell Simmons' decision to cancel a speaking engagement at its Hip Hop Voter Education Rally, The Source issued a blistering press release accusing Simmons of undermining the hip hop community and implying that Simmons canceled his appearance to show solidarity with Eminem and Interscope Records, both of which have been targets of The Source's David Mays and Benzino in recent months.
