*All of a sudden, Atlantic Records is a rap powerhouse. Under its newly announced “Joint Chiefs” campaign, the record label is set to roll out one rap release after another in the fall – starting with Twista’s October 19th reissue of “Kamikaze.”
The speed-rapper’s brings us a revamped version of his platinum album that features new tracks “So Sexy Chapter II (Like This)” and “Y’all Know Who.” Chingy’s new editions sold at Target stores will also contain the bonus track "Freak a Leek."
Following Twista’s release will be Fabolous' "Real Talk" (Oct. 26); Trick Daddy's "Thug Matrimony" (Nov. 9); and Fat Joe's solo turn, "Things of That Nature" (Nov. 16).
Also hitting stores on November 16 is the new Chingy album, “Powerballin’,” from Capitol Records. The sophomore set’s first single “Balla Baby” will arrive next month at radio. The video will be shot this week. According to his official Web site, the St. Louis rapper is currently playing a four-night stand in Japan, and will follow the run with a September 2nd taping for MTV's "Hard Rock Live" in Orlando, Fla.
