Alicia Keys and Beyonce may need to step aside this fall when the multiple Grammy Winner Lauryn Hill steps back on the scene. According to her label, Columbia Records, the embattled diva will release a collection of new ditties this fall. Execs have their fingers crossed that Lauryn will listen to her Unplugged CD and let someone else play the guitar this time around.

Perhaps Jesus' most openly-devout rapper, Kanye West is not only working on jewelry for "his Savior," but has three videos for the track "Jesus Walks" off his College Dropout album. Kanye couldn't make up his mind for the video, as music industry folks found out during a special screening held by the Roc-A-Fella rapper/producer on Monday in New York City. "Every time I did one, it would have a lot of good elements, but I felt like it was missing something," he told the New York Times "Now that I did the third one, I feel like I got all the ideas that I needed to get out." The total production costs of the three videos was well over $1million, with Kanye dipping into his own pockets to have his vision come to fruition. According to Variety, HBO has tapped OutKast's Andre 3000 and Big Boi to star in a "full-blown singing and dancing musical." The duo will inject contemporary music and tunes from their uber-award-winning CD, Speakerboxx/The Love Below, into what is being described as a period tale. Question is, will the film be a box office smash along the lines of new, hot Hollywood musicals like Chicago and Moulin Rouge, or will it land in theaters for about a week before languishing in the musicals section at your local Blockbuster?
