Irv Gotti is set to be indicted by federal prosecutors in New York for his alleged involvement in a million dollar tax scheme.
The charges, which will be made public this week, are expected to be the first in a series of charges against the CEO of The Inc. (formerly Murder Inc.) and his "childhood friend" Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff.
According to prosecutors, Murder Inc. failed to report money earned from the sale of concert related items and Gotti paid McGriff hundreds of thousands of dollars in unreported salary and corporate expenses.
Prosecutors are also looking into nine murders, including several in New York and one in Baltimore. They include the murder of Queen's rapper E-Money Bags, the murder of rapper D.O. Cannon, who recently signed with Murder Inc, and the murder of a drug courier caught with two kilos of cocaine in North Carolina. The courier was gunned down in Maryland with an associate two days later.
Gotti, his brother Chris and his McGriff are also being investigated by the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for various firearms violations.
