On Tuesday, 4/20/04, Big Boi called Atlanta radio station V103 to dispel rumors of an OutKast breakup. The rumor sprung from an article in the April issue of "Blender" magazine, where Andre was quoted as saying "If we weren't doing music, I don't know if we would still be friends. In a perfect world, this would be the last OutKast record."
Big Boi told listeners of V103's "Frank Ski Morning Show" that the break-up rumors are false and that Andre's quote was "taken out of context." Big Boi explained that Andre's conversation with the magazine was about "going out on top...like Michael Jordan should have done when he won his last ring with the Bulls." Big Boi added that he and Andre are friends, have been friends since high school and are even godparents to each other's kids.
