Chicago, Il - Dead Prez rapper was removed from a flight in Chicago and charged with simple assault for allegedly causing a disturbance when asked to turn off his radio.
Clayton Gavin was onboard a United Airlines flight scheduled to leave at 1:50 p.m. Sunday en route to New York when a flight attendant said the rap artist and his associates refused to turn off their radio, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday.
The three men, who were escorted off the plane, are scheduled to be in court May 5 to face simple assault charges.
Gavin, 30, was accompanied by Harris DeJesus, 27, of New York, and Umi Bem Niilampti, 26, of Cordova, S.C.
